Washday Blues

I have slaved for hours – hours – doing my weekly washing down at the river Torridge this morning because on a Sunday I can always find that my bestest most favourite stone is not in constant use.

I came home and pegged the wet clothes out on my diddy rotary line and guess what happened? Some low flying seagull has left its loose turds all down my clinically clean whites.

I am bereft.

Ughhh, one benefit of not living near the sea I guess, although we do have quite a lot of seagulls around from time to time!

Well, I washed it all again and put it back on the line this morning to dry in the wind, but I did not consider the local pigeons (that a near neighbour keeps) who like to visit me daily.

Here we go again…..only this time I will use my tumble drier. My whites are now more than clinically clean. They have now had two washes.
