Since getting my new fridge freezer I have got back into the habit of freezing portions of food. If I have not already cooked it then I can buy raw produce and split it into self sealing bags or containers.I am finding supermarket sandwich bags pretty expensive crap. Containers
tend to be rather thick plastic and expensive to purchase so I have been looking online to better things that are cheaper than what is available in a supermarket. I ended up with two outlets which I'll share with you.First one is Plasticups for food storage containers. You will be surprised as to what types of many containers that they sell, so it's worth clicking the link and simply seeing what is on offer.
The second one is Thermalpaper and I purchased a lot of 8" x 10" self sealing sandwich bags from them. Again its worth clicking the link to see what else they sell.
So I now have resusable bags and also containers. This means that I can cook a casserole and split it in a plastic container or two, or I can buy mince or bacon and bring it home immediately splitting it into plastic bags to freeze, let alone prepare and freeze peppers or onions or soup or stock......and I can do it as the cost of these containers really are cheap.
...........if you are into Sushi or Chinese curry or even goose fat you'll also find it on the above links, so its a shopoholics choice for you bloggers. Both are nice people to deal with and neither make a profit from their P&P and the order arrives within a few days.
