iRobot Roomba® 560 Vacuum Cleaning Robot

I’m a very fastidious housekeeper (what else can I do with myself while I’m dying of unemployment boredom?) and I have a Dyson which most of us know has the ability to clean the floorboards as well as the carpet on top, so you can consider me to have been truly pissed off with what crap that my roomba found in my already very clean house when it came to live with me.

I've had one of these for a few months now, and rate it as one of the best gadgets ever invented. There’s something about it that appeals to the hidden slut in me whereby I can laze on the sofa with my legs stretched out and drinking a nice cup of tea, watching my favourite soap on the idiot box whilst roomba does the vacuuming of the lounge, hall and kitchen for me – and I don’t even break out in a sweat with all this cleaning effort!

The cleaning compartment is a bit small but more than sufficient when you consider it goes on a full clean daily and therefore each day only picks up a small amount. The state of the house has vastly improved as the roomba is picking up Raki’s dog hairs and Harry’s seed shucks every day. It carefully backs off when it finds some wires and is a persistent little bugger for finding a way under something (like through dining table chair legs) and when its decided the flooring is clean, off it toddles back to its bay to recharge itself all ready for the next day (I have it set to a daily timed schedule)

I know someone who sets theirs to clean while they are at work and someone else sets theirs to work overnight. I am a terrible gadget freak but I only have gadgets that I know I will frequently use and get my moneys worth out of, and this gadget is the best purchase since my teasmade. I can see the appeal of this to both sexes but I do feel it’s a great thing to put on your Xmas shopping list or simply search Google to find the cheaper places that sell them and buy one for yourself.
